Arianna grew up in Corvara in the Dolomites, Italy, where she learned to ski and begun her route to becoming a multiple world champion freerider! Sassongher mountain stands just above Arianna's village and was something she would look at every day from her childhood bedroom window. As Arianna puts it, freeride skiers find it difficult to train and build facilities in a private garden and therefore it is their home mountain that truly becomes their backyard. For someone who skis mountains all over the world, only one is home. So special is Sassongher to Ari that she even has it tattooed on her back. The ascent of Sassongher can begin from her very doorstep - a 5 minute walk across town is all that’s needed to reach the start of the trail head! ?
