Over the course of 2020, quite a few things happened, and what tech products came out and how they fared can seem pedantic when compared to the global calamities we all experienced. However, when more people stayed inside than ever before and relied on technology more than ever before, it’s worth taking a look back to see if the biggest releases of the year really lived up to the hype. 2020 was filled with big-ticket releases, like the 3000-series NVIDIA GPUs, the next-gen consoles, and new processors from Intel as well as competitor cards from AMD, taking on NVIDIA’s 3000-series. These products released to much fanfare and acclaim, and promised even more, but did they deliver? That’s what we’re going to try and address in this video here today, though we will be assuming you can, in fact, purchase these products if you want one, which may not be true now, but will be eventually. These products, though they do different things, all marketed the same core idea to gamers: 4K gaming is here and it’s mainstream now. This is mostly true, but it’s nowhere near as true as the marketing people would have you think. Gaming has a long way to go before we can stop thinking about what graphics settings we want to be able to get the frame rates we need. So, let’s look back at the tech of 2020!
